Policies and Procedures
POLICIES, PROCEDURES & GETTING THE MOST FROM YOUR SESSIONS
Make Your Sessions a Priority.
Before your session begins, take time to breathe, relax and get comfortable. Are you in a place where you will not be disturbed? Do you have pen and paper ready to jot down some notes, if appropriate? Do you have a glass of water? Are you aligned, centered, fully present and ready to be mentored and coached?
Focus on What You Really Want
Coaching & Mentoring works best when you have clear goals that are based on your real and true values. What do you want your life to look like? What are the gaps between the way things are now and how you would like them to be? If you are unsure about the direction to take in your life, Arlene will help you gain the clarity you need to move forward, set goals and re-align your priorities with the knowing within.
Know Thyself
You may be hiring Arlene to work with you on specific goals; and, she will focus on your objectives. During your time with her, you may discover new parts of yourself and feel the need to adjust your goals to be more in alignment with who you truly are. Self-discovery can feel exciting and wondrous, challenging and confronting.
As you awaken to more of yourself, remember that your feelings are not who you are. The more you choose to be grateful for the process and your feelings, the more you choose to drop opinions, judgments and personal stories about how you are and how life is, the more you courageously and joyfully embrace the new, the more you will benefit from your time with Arlene and enjoy the ride.
Be Willing To Change & Grow
In choosing to be coached and mentored, you are raising your hand for accelerated personal and professional growth. This requires time, attention, focus, effort, commitment and work. Arlene may be asking more of you than you may have been asked recently.
Be willing to experiment with new approaches and try on new beliefs, ones that may nurture and support you. She will invite you share your truth, raise your personal standards and set higher goals. Ultimately, you must decide what is best for you; however, the more willing you are to change and grow, the more you will benefit from your partnership with her.
Be Prepared For Each Coaching & Mentoring Call
To get the most value out of your sessions, you will be asked to prepare a written agenda or summary before each call. Arlene will provide the format to you. This task usually takes 10 to 20 minutes. Investing a small amount of time to prepare for the call and e-mailing it to Arlene beforehand will have a huge impact on your progress during your sessions.
Do Your Homework
Each session, you will decide what action plans, tasks or goals you want to focus on until the next session; and, it will be up to you to honor those commitments. Arlene will work with you to set worthwhile, realistic and achievable goals. If you know that a busy week is ahead, your commitment may be as simple as pondering a new perspective, a new way of doing things, a new way of being. If you have more time, you might decide to handle a more encompassing task. Regardless, Arlene will hold you accountable and encourage you to do your best.
